A map is a reflection of experience. No map is actually accurate. First of all, a map is only two dimensional, enough said about that. Second, The road isnt actually where it’s depicted on a map, thats becuase its hard to acuratlly translate our experince in the world onto a flat piece of paper. Third, the earth changes but the map stays the same. On top of all that there is distortion created making a round thing flat. The acuracy of a map relies on the belief that our experience is accuratebut that’s not the case. Regardles, people somehow find ways to figure it out and agree about where something is.
